Works effectively with Leadership Team, physician leaders, Information Services and Finance Departments to plan, organize, facilitate and monitor the activities and functions of Billings Clinic- Miles City and Billings Clinic -Cody financial operations. The Business Manager will be responsible to provide the financial leadership and direction for the services provided at both clinics to ensure continuity and consistency across and throughout departments and in the region. Ensures the delivery of cost effective health care services in line with the Billings Clinic mission, vision, values and goals. Accountabilities include strategic financial planning and new program development, fiscal control and responsibility to manage revenue and costs, and financial process improvement.
Essential Job Functions
• Biweekly, monthly reporting of metrics, data analytics, and revenue for MOR, SC, Endo, and Bozeman SC
• Monthly procedural held accounts review, reconciliation, and charge release
• MOR, SC, Endo, Bozeman SC charge auditing and reconciliation,
• Reviews and investigates all aspects of the patient access and revenue cycle of services to maximize charge capture and ensure appropriate reimbursement for services
• Maintains standardized charge capture process in procedural division with monthly reports
• Oversight of procedural scheduling, block schedule, block utilization, with monthly reports (for all previously mentioned locations)
• Lead (delegate as appropriate) daily anesthesia and resource delegation
• Oversight of preference card standardization as it relates to revenue capture and efficiencies
• Oversight of procedural supplies, CDM completion, charge capture, regulatory compliance as it pertains to supplies and implant reporting (tissue tracking/process, charting of implants)
• Oversight of special-order workflow, liaison with Supply Chain
• Oversight of case needs and process flow- regular meetings with charge RNs
• Maintains vendor relationships and review of contracts
• Provides leadership for all inventory, supply and equipment acquisition and repair, and vendor relations
• Monitors business trends, works collaboratively with Leadership and providers to identify new and/or expansion of existing services within the clinics services line for MOR, SC, and Bozeman SC
• Performs analyses of existing operations, new business opportunities and service line data.
• Provides appropriate monitoring for early identification/detection of potential problems and alerting the leadership team of such, provides recommendations for resolution or minimizing impact
• Provides value analysis support, data collection support for quality improvement initiatives, manages business and financial projects as assigned
• Responsible for leading the preparation and on-going analysis of annual operating and capital budgets
• Creates and maintains monthly operational and financial scorecards for MOR, SC, and Bozeman SC. Prepares specific statistical reports to assist members of the Leadership Team with projects, goals and or assignments
• Participates in evaluation, selection and integration of health care technology and information management systems that support quality of care/financial needs and the efficient use of resources
• Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Bachelors degree in business, economics or other related field
Preferred Graduate Degree Masters degree in business or healthcare administration, preferred
Experience
• Three (3) years experience in business operations and/or financial process improvement
• Prior healthcare experience preferred
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
