Surgical Tech
13041BR FTE: 0.6 Shift: 0700, 0930, 1000, 1500 start times. Weekend/weeknight/holiday call rotation. Compensation: $28.32/hr, based upon experience Hours Per Week: 24 Weekends: Some Benefit Eligible The Surgical Technologist performs as a member of surgical team providing technical patient care and hands-on expertise in the handling of surgical instruments and equipment during routine and emergency cases. Assembles and prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies for all specialties using surgeon preference cards as a reference. Sets up and maintains sterile field while anticipating and responding to the surgeon’s intra-operative needs. Functions as 2nd assistant during surgical procedure. Understands and maintains current knowledge and practice of hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications: + Graduate of an approved one year surgical technologist program + Knowledgeable in aseptic technique, scrub skills, anatomy, and surgical procedures + Knowledgeable and purpose of correct medications and solutions used on the surgical field Preferred + 6 months of previous surgical tech experience + Certified Surgical Technologist EEO/M/F/V/D
