Are you ready to play a vital role in the operating room? As a Surgical Tech, you’ll be at the heart of patient care and surgical precision. Your responsibilities will include: + Supporting Surgical Excellence: Prepare, organize, and provide essential tools during procedures. Assist the surgical team by anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth operations. + Patient Preparation & Care: Help position and transport patients with compassion and skill. Assist in prepping patients under the direction of an RN. + Ensuring a Sterile Environment: Clean and re-sterilize surgical suites and instruments post-procedure, maintaining top-tier hygiene standards. Qualifications EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE + High School diploma or equivalent preferred + BLS certified + 1-2 years clinical experience preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES + Demonstrates teamwork by working cooperatively with others on a team both internally within the department assigned and outside departments. + Manages change by showing the ability to demonstrate support for innovation and for organizational changes needed for performance improvement. + Demonstrates a consistent positive customer experience on a daily basis + Demonstrates critical and analytical thinking skills by a logical, systematic, sequential approach. + Demonstrates clinical and technical expertise in his/her area of licensure, certification or experienced area. + Competent in the theory and application in the care of the principles of the patient presenting for surgical or procedural care under the direction of a RN + Strong written and verbal communication skills with prevalent professional demeanor + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation + Supports and drives goals of the Company + High ethical standards + Highly motivated + Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing, and regulated environment + Display knowledge of care required by infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, school age, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. + Ability to use their hands quickly and with precision. + Requires a keen attention to detail to keep operating suite and equipment sterile and clean + Display good listening skills in order to comprehend and quickly respond to the needs of the surgical team during a procedure such as getting additional equipment or supplies. + Display a good memory is necessary in order to avoid the repetition of lengthy explanations for tasks that need to be completed. + Ability to be comfortable working under pressure.
