**Requirements:**
+ BLS certification required
+ Holds current and active Surgical Technician Certification (CST) established by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
+ Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
**About the Job:**
+ Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures.
+ Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment. May be required to transport patient to and from the operating room.
+ Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique, knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
