Surgical Technologist Full Time – Monday through Friday Days at Northwest Medical Center Main OR

Education / Experience Requirements:
Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program
-OR- 2 years of on-the-job training
-OR- 7 years of experience working in the field
-OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
About the Job:
Assists in the care of the surgical patient applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures Arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
