**DESCRIPTION** **Job description** Job Description The Orthopedic Surgical Technologist will work directly under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse Assist the health care team in providing safe, age appropriate, and culturally aware, patient care He/she has knowledge, skill, and ability to perform duties within the context of low to moderate surgical cases (with an expectation to on occasion, to work above this level as cases require) as defined by the scope of anatomy, equipment, and instrumentation of the case and anticipates the needs of the surgeon and other members of the healthcare team Duties include, but are not limited to: + Preparation of the operative suite and surgical field to ensure a safe patient care environment while being vigilant for the maintenance of the sterile field and other patient safety concerns + Gather required instruments and supplies for the surgical case + Assist in supporting surgeries through efficient tray set-up and autoclaving instruments + Maintain a clean and organized environment at all times in compliance with OSHA regulations + Assist with inventory, such as ordering and stocking operating suites and additional perioperative areas as assigned + Instrument cleaning and preparation for sterilization. + Ensure that the surgical unit is compliant with all regulatory standards at all times. **REQUIREMENTS** Experience: + Relevant: 1 year (Required) + Outpatient ASC Orthopaedics (Preferred) + Total Joint experience (Preferred) + Central Sterile experience a plus Education: + Associate (Required) License: + Surgical Technician Certification (Preferred) Job Type: Full-time **Company:** United Musculoskeletal Partners **Job Type:** Full-time **Address:** 1505 Stone Bridge Pkwy., Woodstock, GA, 30189
