Job Description

ResponsibilitiesAssist with the nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of the department and hospital practice and policies.Prepare, disburse, and manage surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation pre, intra, and post-operatively.Demonstrate knowledge of principles of asepsis.Demonstrate knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines.Assume responsibility for clinical competence and professional development.Participate in the responsible management of all departmental resources.Take on call duties as required by the department.Essential SkillsAseptic techniqueSterilizationSurgical instrumentationMedical patient careBLS CertificationSurgical technologyAdditional Skills & QualificationsGraduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or Certified Surgical TechnologistCurrent BLS CertificationWork Environment
Multiple shifts are available, including day and night options. Four 10-hour shifts are from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM or 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, plus rotating on-call duties. Another option is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, plus rotating on-call duties. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00
