Position Summary: Responsible for providing safe, efficient patient care through the performance of the scrub role duties during surgery and other invasive procedures.  The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of the perioperative Registered Nurse and physician in delivering safe and effective care to the patient during the intraoperative period.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION

High School Diploma required. Medical terminology preferred.  Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Program or previous experience as a surgical technologist required. BLS required.Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

EXPERIENCE 

Previous surgical technologist experience preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

Maintains CST certification (if held upon hire, or attained after hire)
