Your Role:

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll be at the heart of the surgical team, ensuring seamless procedures and optimal patient outcomes. Your responsibilities include:

Upholding MaineGeneral’s Standards: Committed to excellence in patient care and safety.Maintaining Aseptic Technique: Ensuring a sterile surgical environment for the highest level of patient care.Preparing the Operating Room: Setting up and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.Assisting in Surgery: Anticipating the surgeon’s needs, passing instruments, and ensuring efficiency in the OR.Instrumentation & Equipment Management: Handling, passing, and maintaining surgical instruments with precision.Patient Preparation: Supporting patient comfort and readiness before procedures.Collaboration & Safety: Working with the team to uphold the highest safety standards and best practices.

What You Bring:Accredited Surgical Tech Education: Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.Customer Service & Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.Commitment to Excellence: A passion for quality and a detail-oriented mindset.Professional Growth Mindset: Eager to stay up to date with advancements in surgical techniques and technology.Certification: CST by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 6 months of hire.
