Job Responsibilities:

The Surgical Technologist 1 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts.  Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills.  Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional.  Demonstrates the ability to perform the role of the first scrub on all basic surgical cases.  Demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis. Demonstrates the application of the principles of aseptic technique.
 

Requirements for Consideration:

High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Recent Hospital experience and/or previous practice experience             Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire Basic Life Support form AHA required upon start.
