Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration. **Type:** Three - month contract with opportunity for extension or full time offer **Schedule:** 8:00AM – 5:15PM Monday – Friday **Pay:** $25 - $28 per hour based on experience **Responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist:** · Working with the surgical team to insure that quality care is given to the patient. · Works with team members in providing assistance to the Surgeon by being familiar with the surgical procedure, instruments, supplies and equipment. · Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer · Assists in the assessment, planning and implementation of care given to the surgical patient · Demonstrates ability to use supplies, equipment and instruments appropriately · Follows strict principles of aseptic technique both in procedures and in processing of equipment and instrumentation · Demonstrates competence in assisting with surgical procedures · Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures, regulatory agency requirements, quality improvement process, facility and departmental policies, procedures and protocols · Demonstrates knowledge of Universal Precautions · Participates in the identification and implementation of improvements in the delivery of quality care · Responds expediently and courteously to requests for help from patients and staff · Uses judgment in seeking consultation from circulating Nurse and other unit Nursing staff · Maintains composure and initiates emergency care as appropriate according to ACLS guidelines · Works with team members in the selection of supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for patient care **Qualifications for the Surgical Technologist:** · Graduate from a school of surgical technology · BLS certificate · Registered as a surgical technician in Washington state **Why work for Adecco?** · Weekly Pay · 401(k) Plan · Skills Training · Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
