Responsibilities Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse. Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies. Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual. Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon. Qualifications Job Requirements: Must be proficient in sterile techniques, instruments, supplies, and equipment. Must be knowledgeable in the proper technique in handling, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments. High School diploma or GED Active BLS certification Preferred Job Requirements: One year of Surgical Technology experience Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program Certified through the NBSTSA
