Overview As a Surgical First Assist Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. Your expertise will contribute directly to successful surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Operating room assignment, will monitor patient vital signs and assist with preoperative positioning and prepping patients for surgery. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Assist primary surgeon with the operative details of surgery cases, including closing independently and endoscopic vein harvesting when indicated. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. Dedication to maintaining high standards of surgical care and procedural excellence. Ability to stand for extended periods, assist team with lifting and moving patients. Visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient status and communicate effectively in a surgical environment. Multi-tasking ability to maintain awareness of surrounding yet focus on the surgical field. Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed. Fast-paced surgical settings within hospitals, surgical centers, or outpatient clinics. Environment can be stressful during emergent procedures and life-threatening surgical presentation. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Current certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required. Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital or surgical center. Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and surgical procedures across various specialties in cardiovascular surgery. Endoscopic Vein harvesting skills preferred, but on the job training can be provided. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose. Licensure/Certification Registration: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Current certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required.
