Departmental Overview From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, the Ortho Central Ambulatory Surgery Center is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes four orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine physician, bone health experts, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists. Our skilled providers can treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is open Monday through Friday to meet our patient’s needs Job Summary Provides for a sterile environment. Prepares for procedure. Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes. Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff. Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice. Qualifications Education Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology preferred, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech. Cath lab: RCIS certification preferred. Experience Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred. National Certification is highly preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment. If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification. Current Oklahoma LPN license required, if applicable. Cath lab: ALS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment. Compensation/Benefits $19.56-$31.94/hr depending on previous work experience.
