Departmental Overview 13 week short term agreement. $42.00 flat rate. No benefits. Evening differential $2.50/hr. Night differential $3.00/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. Norman Regional Surgical Services consists of 24 operating rooms, with state of the art technology. We offer services ranging from cardiac, urology, general, neuro, GYN, orthopedics, ENT and vascular access. Our scrub techs demonstrate teamwork, ensuring the sterile environment is maintained, and keeping a safe environment for our patients. We orient new scrub techs to all of our surgical areas by providing an extensive orientation with a dedicated preceptor in which scrub techs become proficient in all of our service lines. Job Summary Job Summary RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: · Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate · Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. · Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy · Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions. · Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed. · Professional Practice Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program. Qualifications Education Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech. Experience Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred. National Certification is highly preferred. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure / Certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment. If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification. Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable. #NRHSS Schedule Monday-Friday, 0630-1900, 3, 12 hour shifts per week. Days vary. Plus call. Work Shift Day Position Type PRN
