Surveillance Agent III - Silver Legacy (Reno)

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all camera surveillance within the property to include gaming and non-gaming areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following) 

Observe and report on all areas under surveillance to ensure compliance with property’s in-house regulations, Gaming Control Board regulations and in-house policies and procedures Video and observe the various casino games, count rooms, food and beverage areas, retail areas and casino cage Knowledge of Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Blackjack, Roulette and Craps. With the ability to evaluate play, identify advantage play and cheating techniques being applied to them Write investigative reports Communicate with various other departments reporting what has been observed Ability to use property specific Video Management Software Ability to monitor subjects and/or objects throughout all properties, both live and recorded Ability to identify theft and procedural violations during point-of-sale audits/observations Ability to conduct and locate monetary variances Ability to evaluate new games, and identify potential weaknesses Ability to identify and investigate fraudulent activities Must possess a thorough understanding of Nevada Gaming MICs Ability to train all Surveillance Agents/Trainees on games and department operations Basic knowledge of trouble shooting CCTV equipment Other job related duties as assigned Exemplifies our core values, family style service, our mission and vision Exemplifies our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture Perform other job related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and materials Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English Ability to use good judgment and decision making skills with regards to irregular or suspicious activities Knowledgeable in all aspects of gaming operations and regulations (Casino, Cage and Slot operations, Casino games) and ability to identify methods of cheating Must have basic knowledge of video equipment Ability to interface with all departments under surveillance, outside law enforcement agencies and surveillance information networks Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage math. Scheduling: Must be able to work adjusted schedules as the needs of the department dictate. This may include working late or early up to 4 hours, adjusting days off to fit the needs of the department Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Course in Protection of Casino Games and Casino Operations and Management Experience:  Completion of Caesars Surveillance Tier III, 2 years as a Surveillance Agent II Certificate/License: RPD Gaming Work Card

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position)

Mobility is required. Must be able to sit and stand at the console to operate cameras Must have the ability to communicate by telephone and radio Must have the ability to bend over and reach from the floor level to 7 feet in order to perform daily tape changes Able to lift up to ten (10) pounds on a regular basis Normal hearing and vision range are required. Regular, predictable attendance required Work in an environment of 8ft. by 8 ft. Employee access is thirty (30) inches and access passage way is twenty-four (24) inches Areas that employees need to access are as small as fourteen (14) inches Work is performed in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky or dimly lit

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
