JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee all operations of the Surveillance department. To assure the protection of the company’s assets, reputation and integrity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. Provides direction and support for all staff to achieve goals and objectives through the fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesar’s Entertainment LLC. Assures the protection of the company’s assets, reputation and integrity. Is responsible for clandestine surveillance of the operations of all required departments including but not limited to: the casino cashier cage, table games and slot machines. Is responsible for supervising the audio/video recording of activities in all required areas including but not limited to the casino Count Rooms. Is responsible for detecting cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities in the casino, count rooms, slot banks, change carts, and cashier’s cage. Ensures the video recording of illegal and unusual activities is monitored. Is responsible for the communication in the writing of accurate and verifiable information. Serves as backup to the supervisors for notification of appropriate department supervisors and the Tribal Gaming Agency upon detection and taping of cheating, theft, embezzlement or other illegal activities. Responsible for all departmental expenditures while maintaining appropriate budget levels. Serves as direct report leader to department supervisory team Demonstrates expertise in all service standards and clearly communicates expectations to team members. Rigorously hold all team members accountable for exhibiting all service standards at all times and ensure they know the value that these behaviors create for the guests, employees and Company Models a passion for the Company mission, vision and values as well as inspiring team members to do the same. Must be an effective coach and developer of team members by using the leader coaching skills to get, guide and root for employees. Works to improve service breakdowns to minimize or prevent impact to our guests and/or employees. Creates onboarding training experiences for new hires to set them up for success. Motivates the team to work toward peak performance Demonstrates analytical reasoning skills to identify and work through challenging problems and creates solutions. Exercises creative and innovative thinking and implementation to identify cost savings opportunities at all times Empowers and develops supervisory staff to effectively manage labor costs and supply costs based on business volume and demand Holds leaders accountable for performance and customer service management programs and practices Develops supervisor team to manage challenging situations/programs Observes and coaches supervisors on leadership and coaching skills Empowers supervisors to work through challenging customer/employee issues Documents performance as needed for both positive and corrective performance behaviors
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:
Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness/value. Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained. Ensures that all individuals employed in these positions signs acknowledgements of confidentiality and regulatory requirements prior to being employed in the Surveillance Department. Executes the Service Recovery model at a proficient level as well as ensuring all team members are empowered to efficiently utilize the tools of the service recovery model. Must be an expert on how customer service is measured and be able to articulate service scores to team members. Creates and update training and development tools Trains supervisors to use department specific systems Collaborates with other departments and Human Resources to create a highly skilled team of employees Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required Advanced Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or equivalent preferred or a minimum of five years supervisory experience in casino surveillance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to fulfill the obligations of this position.
Must be able to produce honest, objective crew evaluations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have expert knowledge of table games and slot machines, and the ability to identify methods of cheating and/or irregular activities for table games and slot machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerous CCTV screens. Must be able to work and maneuver in closed quarters. Must be able to see and also remember the specific details of incidents and persons. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must have the manual dexterity to operate the following equipment: VCR’s, monitors, switches, computers, controllers and cameras. Must be able to write detailed reports and be able to testify (if necessary) in a court of law in regard to these reports. Must be able to identify and respond to numerous signs, which would indicate cheating or other illegal activities have, or are occurring. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when necessary. Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests’ demands in a fast pace environment. Must possess excellent vision (including peripheral) that is needed to protect the games. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
