SURVEILLANCE TECHNICIAN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the installation, repair, and routine/daily maintenance of the surveillance systems, networks and equipment throughout the entire property (inside and outside)  Troubleshooting and repairing all equipment as the need arises  Maintains an inventory of surveillance equipment and fills out requisition requests for the purchase of parts as needed Keeps abreast of technological advancements in equipment and makes recommendations for upgrades, changes, and new equipment Maintains an accurate log of all equipment issues and the associated repairs, including dates, times, and duration of outages. Responds timely to requests for repairs submitted by surveillance personnel Maintains a clean and organized equipment area Follows all safety regulations in the performance of assigned duties and reports any safety hazards to the Surveillance Manager Must be available to respond to 24/7 emergency calls to perform or facilitate emergency repairs for any critical surveillance equipment Will assist in regular Surveillance Officer duties as needed Performs additional duties and projects as assigned Adheres to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in electronics or a related field is preferred. Two years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic surveillance equipment is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software Experience with Video Management Systems preferred Knowledge of how to maintain NVRs, DVRs, and related equipment Experience with Microsoft Windows servers preferred Experience working with L2, L3, and VLAN networks Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark Advanced mathematical comprehension is required  Willingness to travel and participate in training when beneficial to the job Excellent oral and written communication skills Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including the ability to lift 20 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance when maneuvering in the work area. Willingness to work on tall ladders and scissor/articulating lifts as needed Must be able to obtain an Occupational License from the Illinois Gaming Board and remain in good standing as required for this job.
