Job Title: Survey Crew Chief
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to supervise and lead a survey crew on various projects. This role involves conducting boundary, ALTA, construction stakeout, and topographic surveys, as well as operating and maintaining surveying equipment. The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for collecting, processing, and ensuring the accuracy of survey data, coordinating field activities, and communicating daily with project managers regarding field conditions, project status, and deliverables.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead the survey crew on projects.Conduct boundary, ALTA, construction stakeout, and topographic surveys.Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as Robotic Total Stations, GPS Units, and Data Collectors.Collect, process, and ensure the accuracy of survey data for various projects.Coordinate field activities and daily operations.Communicate daily with project managers regarding field conditions, project status, and deliverables.Essential SkillsExperience using Trimble Total Stations, Leica 3D Laser Scanner, and Trimble GPS robotics.5 years of experience in surveying, with at least 1 year in a Crew Chief role.Experience conducting topographic, boundary, construction stakeout, and ALTA surveys.Proficiency in land surveying and using surveying equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with CAD Software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is a plus.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Experience working with top engineering firms.Work Environment

This position involves working in the field on projects primarily located in New Jersey. The Survey Crew Chief will often work independently but may also be part of a two-person crew. A company van will be provided for travel to and from project sites. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
