Job Summary: We are seeking a Survey Division Manager to lead and execute surveying projects and ensure compliance with State and local regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of land surveying projects from inception to completion, while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. You will manage staff and oversee a variety of projects including: Mapping, design surveys, construction, ALTA Surveys, Topographic Mapping, Boundary Resolution, Records of Survey, Legal Description preparation and GPS Control Surveys. Manage resources for the office and field, have the opportunity to provide staff leadership, mentorship & guidance, manage a diverse portfolio of exciting projects throughout California.
Salary starting at $125/yr.
*Salary is negotiable, depending on experience, skillset, and certifications*Job Responsibilities: Manage and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and other related surveys. Analyze and interpret Title reports, legal descriptions, aerial planimetric , maps, and other relevant data.Direct and supervise the work of survey technicians, assistants, and other related staff. Provide mentoring and training to junior staff and team members. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other professionals on projects. Ensure all surveying practices and documentation are in compliance with the regulations and standards set by the state of California and local governing agencies. Build and maintain client relationships by delivering outstanding service and timely project completion. Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the surveying field. Prepare scopes of work with associated fees and schedules, negotiate contracts including additional services, prepare presentations, proposals, respond to RFP's and RFQ's in conjunction with corporate business development team. Required QualificationsAble to obtain a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of California in 6 months to a year of employment.Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years experience in land surveying, preferably in California.Proficiency in surveying software and technology, including GPS, Total Stations, and CAD software. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Adept at working both independently and as part of a team.About UES
