Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Survey Drafter to join our team! The Survey Drafter is responsible for the completion of design drawings, layouts and survey reports to ensure that the drawings are in compliance with the Edmonton Valley Line West Standards and Project Agreement. 

What You'll Be Doing:

Review design drawings and prepare layout data using various software packages, such as Civil 3D, Trimble, GedoMeet deadlines by Prioritizing survey tasks and assign layout data to the surveyorProcess field data and prepare survey reports and/or as-built drawingsCalculate quantities for various scopes of workEstablish working relationships with designers, contractors, surveyors and office staffCollaborate with designers to ensure accuracy of drawingsLiaises with field staff to problem solve and mitigate riskAssist in field surveys as requiredPrepare alignment, profiles, sections, corridors using Civil3DOther duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience along with a strong Survey backgroundPost-secondary education, Civil Technology diploma preferredStrong computer skills including a proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and experience customizing AutoCAD, scripts, tools, and menusBasic understanding of EVLW and municipality standards is considered an assetExperience with highway, rail and other civil structures and utilities Ability to read and draft Survey, Boundary and ROW plans, and interpret civil engineering drawings and site plansExcellent verbal, written and communication skills
