Survey Helper-No Per Diem
**Description** Utility Locator/Surveyor Helper Assists surveyor in obtaining data pertaining to angles, elevation points, and contours to determine precise location and measurements used for construction and locating/marking underground utilities. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: + Holds level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out stakes for construction and land surveys. + Calls out readings or writes station number and reading in notebook. + Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number or other identifying marks. + Marks measuring points with marking crayon or stakes. + Places stakes into ground at designated points using hammer and hatchet + Experience locating underground utilities. + Experience with calculator and computer. + May include working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. + Requires working safely and following the rules with a good attitude. + Requires standing on feet and walking for extended periods of time.
