Operates various surveying measuring devices including differential levels, data collectors, electronic total stations, and global positioning systems (GPS) equipment. Performs research of property deeds, easements, and right-of-way plans. Develops detailed field survey notes and sketches. Maintains survey equipment and assists the Survey Party Chief in resolving issues with equipment. Documents pertinent field and office-related activities to ensure maintenance of accurate records. Assumes the responsibilities of a Rod Person as required. Performs other duties as needed.
