Job Title: Survey Instrument Operator
Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Survey Instrument Operator to join our team. No prior survey experience is required, but it is preferred. You will work under a Crew Chief daily on various survey projects, operating Trimble Total Stations Robotics to complete tasks for project sites. This role involves performing all aspects of stakeout and location surveys, maintaining survey equipment, and keeping survey trucks stocked with necessary supplies and tools. You will be responsible for collecting and submitting data related to topographic, boundary, ALTA surveys, and Construction Stakeout.

ResponsibilitiesOperate Trimble Total Stations Robotics under the supervision of a Crew Chief to complete survey tasks for project sites.Perform all aspects of stakeout and location surveys using survey equipment.Maintain survey equipment and ensure survey trucks are stocked with necessary supplies and tools.Collect and submit data related to topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys, as well as Construction Stakeout.Essential SkillsValid Driver's LicenseExperience with survey instrument operation preferred (Trimble Total Stations, Leica 3D Laser Scanner, and Trimble GPS Robotics)Familiarity with topographic, boundary, ALTA surveys, and Construction Stakeout preferredStrong communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED preferredCollege or technical courses related to Surveying are a plusPrior instrument experience preferredWork Environment

You will work primarily in the field on projects across New Jersey, with rare assignments outside the state. While you will often work independently, you may sometimes be part of a two-person crew. A company van will be provided for traveling to and from project sites. Our company has been in business for 30 years and collaborates with top engineering firms. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
