Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently seeking a Survey Manager for the Atlanta office to work support EXP’s transportation infrastructure practice.. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Vice President and will support highway, bridge, railway, airport, buildings and water resources related projects. This role will be primarily working on active transportation projects in the State of Georgia, but the ability to work in adjacent Southeastern states is also be desirable. Experience with High Definition Scanning (HDS) – Terrestrial LiDAR, data extraction to 3D-CAD environments and Graphical Information Systems (GIS) software are also highly desirable. Ideal candidate will be able to work in both a field and office environment, participate in business development activities and grow and expand our Survey Department.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Perform and document various surveys in accordance with proper surveying standards and contract requirements utilizing traditional, GPS and HDS surveying techniques Drafting and field computations for surveys such as: ALTA/ACSM, boundary, topographic, right-of-way, hydraulic, etc. Preparation of plats of acquisition, legal descriptions and performing property research Running survey crews or assisting other survey crews as necessary Participating in business development activities Perform survey work for other sectors and divisions within the Company Ability to train other surveyors
What your experience looks like
Associate’s Degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or other related surveying program preferred Georgia PLS required; 10+ years’ of surveying experience preferred Florida PLS preferred Must be willing to work remotely, without physically reporting to the office each day and able to work independently or as a leader of a survey crew Must be flexible with changing schedules and workload demands including overtime hours Must be willing to work outdoors in changing weather conditions Experience in Bentley products Micro-station and Open-Roads, Open-Bridge, etc. required. Experience in Power InRoads SS2 or MicroStation SS2 and ProjectWise a plus. Software skills in AutoCAD, Microstation/Geopak required, ARCGIS capabilities beneficial. Experience with Robotics, GPS, Total Station and HDS LiDAR scanning equipment is required Demonstrated mathematical and analytical skills along with the ability to learn new technologies Excellent team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
