As a Survey Party Chief, you will provide technical input to project management and work crews regarding control lines, elevations, contour and land features affecting construction work.

What you will be doing Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staffAssist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problemsPerforms layout work competently and accurately as specified by survey managerProvides checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniquesProvides topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantitiesAssists with conducting quantity calculations as requiredMaintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.Support published corporate policies.Perform additional assignments per management’s direction. What we are looking for High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related preferred. 3+ years’ experience in survey and land mapping required. License Surveyor In Training (LSIT) CertificationValid Driver’s LicenseProven leadership skills. Ability to train and direct staff on a project site. Developing knowledge of topographic and cross-section surveys to support planning, design, materials and cost projections for the project site. Strong communication skills, proven with engineering teams on project sites and management. Technical skill with survey instruments and Company-prescribed programs and testing. Why work for us
