Job Description
Lead and direct a field survey crew, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection. Operate various survey instruments, including robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Manage and transmit survey data to and from the office, maintaining accurate field notes and sketches. Follow safety protocols and participate in safety meetings. Conduct different types of surveys such as boundary, topographic, and construction staking.
ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise a field survey crew.Ensure accurate and efficient data collection.Operate robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors.Download and transmit survey data to and from the office.Maintain accurate field notes and sketches.Follow safety protocols and participate in safety meetings.Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.Essential Skills5-10 years of experience working as a robotic party chief.Experience with total stations and GPS.Proficiency with Windows software including Teams.Willingness to engage in or preference for having CST certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with boundary and topographic surveys.Familiarity with Leica equipment.Degree in engineering or similar disciplines.Work Environment
This role is based in Michigan, and involves traveling to job sites. The position requires overnight travel to locations in Ohio, Indiana, Buffalo, and Michigan, approximately 3-5 times per month.
