Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Project Manager to join our Survey team in Denver, Colorado!
Survey Project Managers are responsible for the successful management of field and office staff for multiple land surveying projects. This role will manage projects from start to finish, including coordination of each phase of the projects, prepare & manage budgets, be the client contact, assemble consultant team and ensure the financial success of projects. In addition, the Project Manager will assist the Land Surveying Manager with day-to-day operations for the group.Survey Project Manager Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and mentor existing staff to impart survey knowledge and develop team’s skill sets.Review and redline created survey deliverables by staff members for quality assurance and product improvement.Proposal preparation and research/cost estimates of future business pursuits. Boundary analysis and related survey calculations.Survey Project Manager Requirements:10+ years of Land Surveying experience A PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) Colorado state license is required.High School Diploma or GED, associate or bachelor’s degree in a land survey related program preferred.Possesses a high degree of understanding of the principles and practices in all areas of land surveying.Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects.Strong computer and written/verbal communication skills are critical.Experience in the use of AutoCAD/Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office is preferred.Desired Qualification:Extensive experience in title commitments, ALTA surveys, and subdivision plats within local jurisdictions near the Denver Metro Area.Prior management of survey field and/or office teams preferred.Interest in developing relationships with clients and local organizations to promote company business and the survey profession at large. $80,000 - $130,000 a yearThe compensation range is $80k-$130k, plus benefits. . The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, licensing, project specialty/complexity and work location. At Ware Malcomb certain roles are bonus eligible.This position is full time and will require days in the Denver office. A hybrid schedule can be offered for exceptional candidates after a probationary period.
This position does not currently have supervisory requirements at this time, but responsibilities can be offered in the future to the applicant to meet business or operations needs. The Survey Project Manager will report directly to the Land Surveying Manager.
