Survey Technician
Job Title: Survey Technician or Right-of-Way TechnicianJob Description

Responsible for producing plan sets, land plats, preliminary property line calculations, and title and encumbrance reports for use by the design staff.

ResponsibilitiesComplete the drafting required for the finished right-of-way product, utilizing company and INDOT CAD Standards.Create Location Control Route Survey Plats (LCRSP) for review by Surveyor and coordinate the recording of the certified plat.Plot property lines from deeds when required.Create accurate right-of-way drawings, including plans, parcel plats, and LCRSPs according to company, client, or regulatory agency standards, methods, and procedures.Use AutoCAD Civil 3D modules to incorporate and annotate Civil 3D design right-of-way drawings.Complete QA/QC of Right-of-Way drawings.Research land records for conveyance documents and various encumbrances on properties adjoining project corridors.Essential SkillsExperience using Civil 3D (3+ years)Survey drafting experience (3+ years)Strong AutoCAD proficiencyMicrosoft Word and ExcelAdditional Skills & QualificationsRight of Way experience, including legal descriptions and parcel platsINDOT experience - Drafting INDOT projectsAssociate degree in Land Surveying Drafting/Technology (or similar surveying degree) can substitute for professional experienceWork Environment

Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7 AM to 12 PM, with some flexibility. A hybrid work-from-home schedule is possible after 90 days, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The company has a very low turnover rate, offers annual pay raises, year-end bonuses based on performance, and a 401K profit-sharing plan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00
