Job Title: Surveyor - Instrumentation

Ø Purpose of Position

The job incumbent is responsible for inspection in QA/QC field of IND business (Oil & Gas, Power and Petrochemical Industries). The position performs in line with the Bureau  Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy

 

                                                                                                            

Ø Major Responsibilities

 

Inspection, Quality Control, Assessment of various Field Instruments Like Pressure, Temperature, Flow & Level Transmitters, Indicators, Gauges etc..LT Elect Equipment like Motors, Generators, Transformers, Switchboards, Switchgears, cables, insulators, Battery Chargers, PLC/ DCS/ SCADA Systems, ESD,F&G Systems etc..  at vendor premises & sites. Quality Audit, testing witness, verification of testing procedures of various equipment, review of vendor drawings, technical specifications. Site inspection of Instrumentation related Installations at Power Plant/Oil & Gas locations. Inspection of Cables HT and LT, Panels HT and LT, FLP equipments, motors etc.,   for various Projects. Inspection of Computer hardware, servers etc. Vendor evaluation & Expediting, Customer satisfaction surveys, coordination with vendors and clients. Developing new clients and Tender bidding Training on safety Preparation of Conformity Report and Non-conformity Report of different Instrumentation Items & basic Electrical equipments and materials. Analysis of the quality of Instrumentation related equipments and materials as per Indian Standard and International Standard and take suitable measures for quality control as per the standard. Witness to Calibration checks & different testing on the electrical equipments and materials for compatibility checking as per requirement of the consumer.

Ø Qualification and Experience

 

An Engineering Graduate/Diploma / B.sc (Instrumentation/Electronics) with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
