Surveyor Party Chief
Job Title: Surveyor Party ChiefJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Surveyor to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The individual filling this position will receive real-world experience by working side-by-side with our project managers, surveyors, and technicians on a variety of projects. This is a full-time position with benefits and offers opportunities for advancement for a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology required in the land surveying profession. Responsibilities + Work in the field with survey crews on topographic, boundary, and construction staking tasks. + Operate and maintain survey equipment and adhere to safety standards. + Document all phases of survey work through clear field notes and data collection. + Perform any other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Physical ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and terrains including Phoenix summer heat. + Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to the ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces. + Willingness to work overtime. + Problem-solving and good decision-making skills. + Excellent communication, detail orientation, interpersonal skills, and be a team player. + Good driving record and valid driver’s license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience with surveying, math, AutoCAD, Trimble, or Microsoft Office products is a plus. + Familiarity with survey equipment and software such as GPS, Total Station, Leica, Topcon, and boundary survey software. Work Environment This position is based in our Phoenix office. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains, including the Phoenix summer heat.
