Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Surveyor to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The individual filling this position will receive real-world experience by working side-by-side with our project managers, surveyors, and technicians on a variety of projects. This is a full-time position with benefits. The position also has opportunities for advancement for a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology required in the land surveying profession.

ResponsibilitiesWork in the field with survey crews on topographic, boundary, and construction staking tasksOperate and maintain survey equipment and safety standardsDocument all phases of survey work through clear field notes and data collectionPerform any other duties as assignedEssential SkillsPhysical ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and terrains including Phoenix summer heatAbility to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes, in addition to the ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfacesWillingness to work overtimeProblem solving and good decision-making skillsExcellent communication, detail orientation, interpersonal skills, and team playerGood driving record and valid driver’s licenseAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience with surveying, math, AutoCAD, Trimble, or Microsoft Office products is a plusExperience with Surveying, Land Surveying, Topography, GPS, Total Station, Topographic Surveys, Land Survey, AutoCAD, Construction, ALTA, Land Development, Leica, Construction Stakeout, Boundary Survey Software, Development, willing and motivated to move up, Topcon, Survey Crew, Trimble GPS, and ALTA SurveysWork Environment

This position is based in our Phoenix office. The work involves outdoor tasks in diverse weather conditions and terrains. The role requires the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment. We operate an employee-owned firm that values punctuality and consistent attendance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr.
