Sustainability Analyst
Overview Medxcel is here to lead the transformation of healthcare facilities management by incorporating a new approach to providing services. The Sustainability Analyst reports to the Manager, Sustainability and is responsible for implementing business processes to collect, organize, analyze, and report information to support the Ascension Environmental Impact and Sustainability Program and other Medxcel sustainability projects. The candidate will serve as staff for the System Green Team and will model all aspects of professionalism with an emphasis on being an advocate for sustainability best practices throughout all Medxcel sites of care. This position will be located at Home Office (Tennessee, Texas, Indiana, Florida). Responsibilities Implement and support processes to collect, organize, summarize, and report data for the Environmental Impact and Sustainability Program. Collect and aggregate information to support the development of an annual Sustainability Report. Serve as staff for the System Green Team and sustainability liaison for Green Teams at Medxcel sites of care. Facilitate the sharing of sustainability best practices. Support opportunities for implementation of sustainability initiatives. Facilitate events such as Earth Day and Feast of St. Francis communications, webinars and associate activities in collaboration with Medxcel and Ascension Marketing/ Communications. Assist in awards and recognition activities, including collecting documentation and creating submittals. Function as a key contact between Medxcel and Ascension (including key subsidiaries) in cross-functional, collaborative programs and initiatives. Develop quality content for the Sustainability web page and promote use of the site. The position is remote (work from home) and is expected to be available for occasional travel. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Environmental Studies, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar area of focus- required. Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to sustainability, Environmental Management, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, or similar area of focus- preferred. License/Certification: LEED Green Associate, LEED Accredited Professional, or other sustainability certification- preferred. Experience: Internship or experience with a corporate, non-profit, or NGO program-required. Three or more years of experience working with sustainability programs in a corporate, non-profit, or NGO setting-preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A personal passion for sustainability/ environmental stewardship. Effective communication skills (written, graphic and verbal). Excellent people skills to support collaboration with multiple departments/ organizations. Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data and create presentations with a focus on detail and accuracy. Ability to effectively manage priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in basic MS Office programs, PowerPoint, web page design and web-based systems such as G Suite. #MFMCORP
