**Program Description**
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, is looking for talented leaders to add to its global leadership depth and play a role in the current and future success of the organization. The co-op/intern program provides students with practical work experience in one of many diverse areas **.**
In addition to challenging, engaging and interesting work assignments, students have the opportunity to meet and interact with students from other universities at work and outside of work. Tours of Goodyear facilities are arranged to help students learn more about the business. Goodyear leaders make presentations to help students begin to think about significant business issues and career options. **Function Overview and Project Task/Responsibilities**
The Sustainability and Product Stewardship (SPS) group within Goodyear's Global General Counsel organization is currently looking for a Sustainability and Product Stewardship Analyst intern to work full-time for Summer 2025 and part-time for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Global Sustainability team encompasses how our operations and products affect people and the environment. We partner with the business functions to fulfill internal/external stakeholder expectations through various work such as monitoring of global trends, benchmarking, etc.
The Global Product Stewardship team manages the chemical/raw materials and tire portfolio at all stages of the product lifecycle. We actively monitor new, emerging, and changing regulations for potential business impacts and escalate through our internal governance process. We analyze products and sources against country level regulations and customer requirements while also evaluating environmental health, safety, and sustainability aspects on a global scale.
The Sustainability and Product Stewardship Analyst Intern plays a key support role in our ability to partner with the organization and fulfill our stakeholder expectations. Primary tasks will involve research of emerging sustainability and regulatory topics, benchmarking activities as well as data tool development, analysis, and maintenance.

**Requirements**
+ Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required
+ Minimum of a Junior undergraduate standing or graduate student
+ Pursuing a degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science or other related field. Interest in further pursuing a Master’s Degree is desired.
+ Have the ability to complete a one-year internship assignment with flexible hours and scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. The intern will work full-time for Summer 2025 and part-time (15-20 hours/week) for the 2025/2026 academic year.
+ Have the ability to attend in-person at the Akron HQ during summer 2025, with remote work available for the duration of the part-time portion.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
+ Extensive research/analytical skills (ability to read substantial reports and summarize)
+ Ability to work with large sets of data and interpret trends, changes, etc.
+ Time management skills (balance multiple projects)
+ Proactive self-starter with the ability to self-manage
+ Agility to adapt to rapidly changing demands and multiple stakeholder requests
+ Detail-oriented
+ Problem solving skills and systems thinking
+ Have a general passion for sustainability and/or product stewardship and a desire to learn how it is integrated in a corporate environment
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
+ Have an interest in working for a global company and an understanding of a corporate work environment/culture
+ Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Seek a wide range of opportunities for growth and development
+ Be a fast learner who is able to keep up with the rapidly changing technological field
