**What you’ll do (the role)**
Summary
As a global leader in our sector, Lightsource bp’s core contribution to global sustainability is in developing responsible solar projects across the globe, helping our energy landscape decarbonise. Delivering these projects will provide clean energy and support the net zero goals of many governments, businesses, and communities.

In this role you will work closely with our Sustainability team and other stakeholders to support the delivery of our corporate sustainability commitments.

Duties and responsibilities
+ Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in the collection, management, and analysis of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data to support sustainability reporting and performance tracking.
+ ESG Information Requests: Support senior team members preparing responses to internal and external ESG information requests (e.g., bid/tender responses, disclosures to ratings agencies).
+ Website Development and Maintenance: Execute the Global Head of Sustainability’s vision for the Sustainability page on the company’s intranet; monitor content on company’s external websites to ensure alignment with updated Sustainability reports and policies.
+ Research: researching emerging regulations and sustainability standards, benchmarking against peers, and review of best practice to support the work of the Sustainability Team in delivering company policies and guidance
+ Policy Development Support: Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability policies and procedures.
+ Training and Awareness: Support coordination of the development and delivery of internal sustainability training programs.
+ Workshop Coordination: Assist in planning and organising of sustainability team workshops as well as deep dives and engagement sessions with other teams.
**Who we’re looking for**
Knowledge & Experience
+ Experience in a sustainability-related role, preferably within a corporate or consulting environment.
+ Experience in corporate sustainability administration and coordination preferred.
+ Knowledge of key sustainability concepts, including climate change, resource efficiency, circular economy, and social responsibility.
+ Basic understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB and TCFD, and familiarity with ESG metrics and disclosures.
+ Ability to conduct thorough research and present findings in a clear and actionable format.
+ Demonstrable experience in producing high-quality, engaging reports and supporting content.
+ Basic data literacy and some experience in collating and manipulating data, preferably sustainability data.
Work & General skills
+ Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
+ Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex sustainability concepts to various audiences.
+ Fluent English is essential.
