Who You Are and the Impact You Will Have:

In this position, you play a key resource in supporting QTS’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program, driving implementation, communications, and integration of sustainable practices across the company. The Sustainability Coordinator is the centralized resource responsible for providing high-level administrative, project support and coordination for sustainability initiatives. You will collaborate heavily with cross-functional teams nationwide engaging in communications efforts to further drive corporate sustainability initiatives. Travel as needed, approximately to attend conferences, internal meetings etc.

With increasing attention from customers, senior leadership and global markets, sustainability is a key pillar of our business with ties to many different areas of the organization. This is an exciting and fast-paced role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and improve ESG data collection processes by collaborating with internal stakeholders

Track and analyze and progress against our targets and industry

Assist with data entry, data management and reporting

Continuously improve environmental data quality and refine accounting methodologies. This includes collaborating with internal teams and vendors to collect more accurate data, and developing new methodologies, processes, and standards to drive more robust impact measurement

Update business information tools, spreadsheets, and presentations to ensure they reflect the latest information, and identify improvements to our workflow

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source, automate, and analyze data from company operations, to measure and monitor greenhouse gas emissions and other sustainability-related metrics

What You Will Need to be Successful:

Bachelor's Degree required

Preferred Experience:

1-3 years of quantitative experience in GHG accounting, corporate sustainability, environmental science, engineering or related field

Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks, specifically the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Taskforce for Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Attention to detail is a key component of the position

Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders

Candidate must be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously and understand when to ask necessary questions

Team player and show a strong commitment to collaboration and team building
