Title of Manager: Director, Design Studio
Internal and External Contacts: Works closely with the General Manager and Director of Environmental Strategy on client deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities
80% - Carbon Measurement Reporting: Project manage and provide reporting for our carbon footprint measurement product, a cornerstone of our sustainability services. Collaborate with clients and suppliers to define data requirements prior to events, create detailed project plans and timelines for successful execution, and follow up post-event to collect and verify data. Apply critical thinking to review data for accuracy, working closely with the carbon auditor to finalize the carbon measurement. Deliver analysis and actionable strategies to improve the sustainability of future events.
20% - Project coordination for Maritz Brand and Environmental Strategy team: This could include working on special projects, helping with budgeting discussions, working on internal Maritz Sustainability Work, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.
Genuinely interested in and passionate about deepening knowledge of environmental sustainability and supporting clients in achieving their sustainability goals.
Broad understanding of Maritz event operations and the various components preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and related tools.
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor tasks effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Sharp critical thinking skills to analyze situations and solve problems efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective collaboration.
