Job DescriptionWe are seeking for an energized and organized candidate to support the growth of Expeditors sustainability program across our global network. The candidate will join the Company’s corporate financial reporting & accounting team. This team is responsible for the preparation of SEC filings, analyzing consolidated financial results, preparing data for the Company’s sustainability reporting, and supporting annual internal and external financial audits. The sustainability data analyst will focus on data collection, documentation, verification, data management, and analysis of Expeditors’ carbon emissions and other sustainability information. The candidate will work in a dynamic international environment and will interact with different key members of Expeditors’ sustainability program as well as with finance and accounting and operational teams. We are looking for candidates who have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and we will provide them opportunities to further their learning in key sustainability reporting concepts and effective data reporting processes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the data collection process for Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions data.Maintenance and regular updates of facilities and emissions databases.Performs data quality and verification checks and reviews data loaded for anomalies.Prepare data to support voluntary and mandatory environmental sustainability reporting.Provides analytic support by managing data extraction from various environmental and leases databases.Support the creation of technical documents, data visualization tools, and communication materials.Facilitate workshops, presentations, or trainings to support the training of the Green Team.Contribute to the preparation of precise data sets for both internal and external reporting purposes (Annual Reports, CDP, etc.).Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on a wide array of sustainability-related projects.Monitor changes in program requirements, identify impact to the company and the operation and communicate recommendations to the relevant teams to help ensure readiness to meet the future obligations.QualificationsEssential Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, engineering, accounting or financial analysis.Minimum of one to two-year of experience in sustainability data gathering, accounting, financial or compliance reporting.Experience working in sustainability in a corporate environment is preferred.Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail and focus on accuracy. Exceptional interpersonal skills - positive attitude, friendly, helpful, and responsive.Strong organizational/time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize workload; a collaborative team player with the capability to work independently within diverse teams.Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel.Aptitude for quickly adapting to new tools or applications.Previous experience with a sustainability reporting software.Excellent spoken and written English skills.Must be currently eligible to work in Mexico.Preferred (not required) Experience:
