Then come and join our global team as Sustainability Governance and Regulations Expert (f/m/d) to establish and enhance our governance framework for sustainability, drive risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic and evolving landscape.


Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

Using your expertise in sustainability governance, you will play a key role in designing and implementing governance structures and processes for sustainability topics across the organization.You will lead efforts to integrate sustainability into the company’s broader risk management framework, proactively identifying and addressing sustainability-related risks.Staying ahead of regulatory developments, you will actively scan and analyze emerging sustainability regulations and assess their implications for the organization.Collaborating with legal, compliance, external affairs, risk management and governance functions, you will ensure sustainability governance is aligned with corporate policies and external requirements.You will support leadership by preparing briefings, decision proposals, and reports on sustainability-related risks, regulatory changes, and governance developments.You will establish comprehensive internal controls and compliance mechanisms and contribute to continuous improvement of sustainability governance processes.Engaging with external auditors and regulatory bodies, you will help ensure compliance with sustainability disclosure and regulatory obligations.

Your qualifications and experience:

You have successfully completed your university studies in sustainability management, business administration, law, environmental sciences, risk management, or a similar field.You bring many years of experience in governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, or corporate sustainability strategy.You have deep knowledge of sustainability regulations (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SEC climate disclosures) and risk management frameworks.You have a proven track record of working on cross-functional projects, ideally within a global organization, to implement governance and risk management processes.Your analytical skills are well-developed, allowing you to assess regulatory impacts and develop structured responses.You are experienced in preparing high-quality governance documentation, decision proposals, and board-level presentations.You have fluent English and German skills.
