Are you passionate about sustainability and want to make a difference? We're looking for someone to join our Sustainable Purchasing Team.
You'll work with a team of dedicated colleagues who care about sustainabilitiy just as much as you do.

In a nuthsell the position aims to:

roll out sustainable purchasing actions in the regionbe the first point of contact for the lead buyers and suppliers in the region in regards to sustainable purchasing topicsreduce the sustainability risk at suppliers in the region

 

In more detail the tasks of the position are:

Responsible for sustainable purchasing activities within EMEA regionSupport the responsible value chain (RVC) risk analysis, and drive corrective actions derived from risk analysis or incident cases in direct contact with our suppliers in the respective regionRoll out the sustainable purchasing strategy and framework into the respective region and represent the region in strategy processConsult and support buyers in the mitigation of supplier risks and improvement of their capabilities in the field of responsible value chain and the fields decarbonization, renewable materials and circularityDevelop and conduct supplier trainings in alignment with related functionsMonitor local regulations with respect to responsible sourcingSupport sustainability audits and drive follow up actionsEngage in internal and external networks to develop and maintain state of the art sustainability expertise related to environmental protection, human rights as well as social and ethical standardsOnboard suppliers in selected sustainability rating tool (e.g. EcoVadis) and drive improvement actionsSupport, roll out and drive sustainability topics like conflict minerals reporting, CBAM, EUDR or others

QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier engagement, and development, including strategy formulationStrong communication and negotiation skills to effectively convince suppliers and internal stakeholdersIn-depth knowledge of Contitech processes and productsExpertise in sustainability practices, particularly in responsible sourcing and supply chain sustainability is a plusStrong intercultural competency and ability to work effectively in a global environmentDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence others across organizational levelsEager to learn about new regulations and standards related to sustainable purchasingAbility to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyFluency in English; additional language skills are a plusWillingness to travel within the EMEA region as required
