We are seeking a Sustainability Intern to work out of our PCL Construction office (located in Houston, Texas) . This position will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Supply Chain. 
 

As a Sustainability Intern and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities Assists in collecting, organizing, and analyzing GHG emissions data (scope 1-3) for corporate and project activities. Supports the development of tools and processes to streamline data collection and reporting, including a corporate GHG emissions database. Builds on existing research of pathways to net-zero, including: low-carbon procurement, stakeholder engagement, Climate-Related Risk Reporting (TCFD), carbon offset, new products/technology. Presents research and findings. Supports the development of corporate policies and procedures around GHG reduction. Researches, tracks and updates registrar on sustainability regulatory requirements. Assists with Sustainability Report content, and preparation for communication events. Researches and reports on ESG trends and industry best practices (GRI, ISSB, CDP, SBTi). Researches peer ESG disclosures to provide insights and recommendations on ESG performance metrics. Supports internal community engagement (Viva Engage, CoP). Other related responsibilities as required. Qualifications Familiarity with GHG management, ESG frameworks (UN SDGs, GRI, ISSB), and climate risk modelling is preferred. Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. Strong communication and visualization skills. Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Methodical problem solving and attention to detail.
