**Job Description**
**AECOM Buildings + Places** is committed to driving sustainable practices and innovation in the electrical engineering field.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated **Sustainability Summer Intern** to join our **Electrical Group** for our **London, ON** office.
As a Sustainability Intern, you will work closely with our Electrical Group to support various sustainability initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability practices within an engineering context.
The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in sustainability within an engineering context, mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, an opportunity to contribute to meaningful sustainability projects, and provide a collaborative and supportive work environment.
_This will be a 4-month term expected to begin in May 2025._
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Supporting in the development and implementation of sustainability projects.
+ Liaise with internal stakeholders for non-routine activities including proposals and business development
+ Conduct research on policy and external factors affecting the energy transition.
+ Identify valued opportunities for decarbonization in the Canadian market.
+ Analyze data and prepare reports on sustainability metrics.
+ Support the Electrical Group in day-to-day tasks and projects.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program focused on Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
+ Must have completed two years of study in the relevant program
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), including reviewing and updating carbon models
+ Self-starter that will seek guidance from the Manager, Team Members as required
+ Planning and organizational skills with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
+ Superior written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience documenting processes
+ Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities required
+ Experience with working in both a technical and business context is an asset
+ A team player with the ability to work independently and as a part of a larger team

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $22.00/hour - $26.00/hour.
