Brief of your day

As a Sustainability Manager with German, you will provide advice on ESG regulatory components on topics such as CSRD and Taxonomy Regulation. In addition to working for clients, you will also contribute to the business development of PwC in your area of expertise. You will develop and apply new techniques in the field of sustainability, ESG risk management, including climate risk and others.

What you will be doing:

Understanding complex business contexts, with focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance processes)Leading an ESG teamKeeping up to date on marketplace and ESG regulatory topics and trends, and apply insights during the delivery of engagements as new ESG regulations emerge and laws changeEngaging on business level discussions/ workshops with clients and delivering ESG projectsPerforming of ESG gap analyses by reference to new standards, regulations and guidelines issued by local and European authoritiesDeveloping or implementing new processes, policies or solutions aimed at ensuring both compliance and operational efficiencyApplication of common sense / commercial awareness / knowledge obtained during the project to assess the quality and reliability of information supplies

What we need from you:

University degree in environmental science, engineering, business/finance, economics, geography, biology, or another ESG-related subject3+ years of experience in ESGGained experience with EU and Romanian environmental legislation is a plusExcellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilitiesStrong research, analytical and report writing skillsHigh proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointStrong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulnessHigh proficiency in German
