Sustainability Reporting Analyst

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office attendance three days a week at either our Denver or Broomfield office.

In connection with this goal, Marsh McLennan has signed a commitment letter to the Science Based Targets initiative and is working to set a science-based emission reduction target aligned with the SBTi’s target-setting criteria.

We are looking for a Sustainability Reporting Analyst who will be responsible for fulfilling a variety of responsibilities to ensure compliance with emerging ESG disclosure regulations globally. The individual in this role will report to the Senior Director, Sustainability and will be responsible for working across the organization to help to drive Sustainability reporting efforts, including collecting data, implementing data systems and lead our CDP, EcoVadis and annual ESG report development. 

This role will work closely with our Controllership and Compliance teams on ESG reporting initiatives and will partner with regions and local entities to synergize ESG reporting.

The ideal candidate is well-skilled and enthusiastic about building effective processes to drive Sustainability reporting across Marsh McLennan’s diverse and complex operations and has experience with voluntary and regulatory reporting frameworks.

In this position, the Sustainability Reporting Analyst will support the Senior Director, Sustainability in Marsh McLennan’s ESG reporting

We will count on you to:

Lead CDP and EcoVadis submissions and support other ESG reporting including development of annual ESG reportSupport the evolution of our annual ESG report to comply with emerging reporting requirements, including the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Australia climate reporting requirements, UK Climate Reporting requirements, Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and California SB261 and SB253Working closely with Controllership, develop and implement processes and controls for ESG data and support assurance of greenhouse gas inventoryMaintain double materiality assessment as required by CSRDManage our ESG data and reporting platform, Workiva, ensuring that templates, data and configuration remains up-to-datePartner with client teams in responding to client ESG-related questionnaires and maintain FAQ documentOversee ESG Raters and Rankers and identify opportunities to improve our scoringBenchmark our ESG performance against peers and remain abreast of emerging ESG trends, policy developments and regulations that may impact usWorks closely, but independently, under the direction of and in collaboration with the Senior Director, Sustainability

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in an environmental science, business, or related fieldA minimum of 3 years of sustainability experience including in carbon accounting, sustainability reporting and sustainability strategy implementationExcellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work cross-functionally across the organization with businesses and stakeholdersAnalytical experience and understanding of data collection and organizationFamiliarity with sustainability ratings and reporting frameworks including, but not limited to, Science Based Targets initiative, Net Zero, TCFD, CDP and CSRD

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $63,100 to $126,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
