Your Role

 

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sustainability Reporting Project Leader to join our team at our headquarters in Cesena, Italy.


In this role, you will lead the organization in ensuring compliance and excellence in sustainability reporting, with a strong focus on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This position requires the ability to conduct detailed gap analyses, enhance data collection processes, provide internal training, and foster collaboration across departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
 

Your Impact

 

Gap Analysis & Action Plans: Conduct in-depth analyses to identify gaps in current sustainability reporting practices, particularly concerning CSRD and EU Taxonomy requirements. Assess the alignment of organizational processes with regulatory standards, focusing on the "green taxonomy" criteria and the classification of eligible and aligned activities. Process improvement: Develop and implement action plans to close identified gaps in the sustainability reporting process, ensuring robust data collection and reporting frameworks. Collaborate with various departments within the organization to optimize processes and ensure consistency in data management. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with sustainability reporting requirements, including those stemming from CSRD and other applicable standards. Monitor on evolving sustainability regulations, standards, and best practices to proactively adapt internal processes. Data Management: Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of data required for sustainability disclosures. Ensure accuracy, transparency, and quality in all aspects of reporting, leveraging tools like Workiva or equivalent software. Communication and Training: Effectively communicate sustainability reporting requirements and necessary corrective actions to various levels of the organization. Provide training and support to employees to ensure adequate understanding of requirements and reporting processes. About You

 

Degree in Economics, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related fields. Advanced certifications in sustainability or ESG reporting are a plus. At least 3+ years of proven experience in sustainability reporting, with a strong focus on CSRD compliance.  Solid understanding of the EU Green Taxonomy, particularly its criteria for eligible and aligned activities. Proficiency in ESG reporting tools (e.g., Workiva) and familiarity with international sustainability standards (e.g., ESRS, GRI). Demonstrated ability in gap analysis and implementation of corrective solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Proactive and collaborative mindset, capable of driving change across the organization. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
