Sustainability & Resilience Strategy Manager
Position Summary

Work you’ll do 

The Sustainability & Resilience Strategy Manager will be responsible for advising Deloitte’s Government and Public Sector clients through critical and complex issues within the Climate, Sustainability and Environmental Equity space. They will have the opportunity to advocate for the establishment and evolution of modern technological capabilities and prepare organizations for challenges to mitigate risks. They will also lead cross functional teams who will collaborate across the GPS landscape to advance our Strategy & Analytics offerings and push the boundaries to create new markets and market share. Our GPS practice brings deep industry expertise, rigorous analytical capabilities and a pragmatic mindset to solve our client’s most complex business problems. Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes—is designed for impact. Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000+ professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.

The GPS Strategy offering leads strategic planning & portfolio management and reporting & monitoring workstreams. This includes day-to-day client interaction and leads to the creation of relevant resources and materials (such as strategic plans, roadmaps, etc.) and work products (such as development of performance metrics, tracking dashboards, etc.) in order to successfully implement client vision.

Qualifications 

Required: 

Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other business-related fieldAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance10+ years of management experience leading diverse teams5+ years of experience supporting emergent technology or strategy adoption in the Climate, Sustainability and Environmental Equity space5+ years of experience coaching or mentoring junior staffMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred: 

Ability to “tell a story” through the creation of compelling client presentationsExperience working independently with minimal guidanceStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgmentProven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectivesDemonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audienceExperience working with Lean Six SigmaPrevious hands on experience with value stream mapping
