Stable and growing organizationCompetitive weekly payProfessional, positive and people-centered work environmentFast-paced work environmentComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D401(k) plan, Company matchPaid holidays (8)Paid vacation and personal days Responsibilities Responsible for the management of various Service Center-related sustainability projects (i.e., waste management, recycling, etc.)Complete and submit required and requested sustainability surveys (Ecovadis, CDP, etc.)Work closely with Facilities Maintenance to learn facility and environmental processes, understand adherence to environmental policies, initiatives and materials when building new or renovating old facilitiesWork with appropriate directors on items such as waste management and DE&I initiatives Collect, maintain and provide metrics on electric equipment and other energy and output sourcesAssist in the development and day-to-day coordination of Dayton Freight Lines’ sustainability program frameworkTrack sustainability program metrics and communicate status to internal and external customers Coordinate data collection, quality control and analysis to meet the Company’s internal and external reporting commitmentsEvaluate and provide recommendations for third-party consulting and data management services related to sustainability effortsOnboard and oversee third-party vendors that assist in performing environmental sustainability work for data reporting and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) regulationsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with third-party vendors and contactsCoordinate sustainability communications and trainingServe as resource and subject matter expert for sustainability pilots, programs and related initiativesEducate leadership on sustainable transportation developments in infrastructure, policy, energy, equipment and technologyEstablish KPIs to measure the success and impact of current and new initiativesCollaborate with appropriate departments and teams to upgrade systems and equipment for improved utility efficiencyResearch and gather environmental data, industry trends and published research for use in strategic planningAnalize the costs and benefits of emission reduction strategiesDevelop policy and program recommendations to support sustainability programsDevelop and analyze forecasts of the use of conventional and alternative fuels in the transportation sectorContinue to evaluate Dayton Freight Lines’ sustainability needs based on Customers’ expectations Understand Dayton Freight’s values and mission to continually provide recommendations for new initiatives based on required industry standardsWork on other projects related to sales, facility maintenance and overall Dayton Freight operationsContinuously improve processes Qualifications 3+ years’ experience within logistics, transportation, supply chain or within sustainability Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Planning Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability or 5+ years related experienceStrong knowledge and understanding of Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 carbon emissionsKnowledge of current sustainability industry initiatives, trends and toolsKnowledge and understanding of Greenhouse Gas Inventory and reporting standardsLegally eligible to work in the United StatesMust be at least 18 years of ageFluent in English Benefits Stable and growing organizationCompetitive weekly payProfessional, positive and people-centered work environmentFast-paced work environmentComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, 401(k), etc.Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days Options Click here to apply for this jobApplyEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
