Sustainable Building Certifications Lead

Role description:

Role accountabilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Science, or a related field LEED BD+C or LEED ID+C accreditation required. Multiple LEED accreditations preferred. 8+ years relevant experience Technical proficiency in green building strategies and experience in other rating systems such as WELL, BREEAM, and LBC preferred. Experience with building performance simulation software for solar, daylight, energy, and life cycle analysis preferred Design background with analytical skills preferred Ability to prioritize and concurrently work on multiple projects Maintain effective communication with project team members and clients Self-motivated and able to work independently with attention to detail Strong interpersonal organizational, and written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications & Experience:

Oversee and manage the Green Building Certifications team. Track the number of certified projects and performance of certified projects throughout Arcadis A+U and collect case studies to illustrate sustainability success stories Respond to RFPs for green building certifications scope including preparation of fee proposals and scope narratives Provides green building certification administration of multiple projects in all our offices. Manage project budgets using Oracle throughout project duration Support clients and project teams with green building certification and green building code technical expertise early in project including checklists and internal/external project meetings, eco-charrettes and project brainstorming and goal setting sessions. Develop and deliver firm-wide educations sessions regarding green building rating systems, currents issues and trends in sustainable design including accreditation systems and their effect on our practice. As one of the firm’s LEED experts, provide advice, assistance and critique to project teams regarding LEED and other certifications. Other certifications may include WELL, Fitwel, Living Building Challenge, BREEAM, and others. Work closely with other members of the sustainable design team to develop and achieve firmwide sustainability goals and support the Sustainable Design team in firmwide activities and tasks such as 2030 reporting and data collection Research green building technologies, materials and codes, and other regulations

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
