As the Sustaining Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing product delivery lead times, improving Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy, and enhancing cross-department communication for the Sustaining Engineering department. Reporting to the Product Engineer, you’ll focus on drawing accuracy, timely completion of deliverables, and achieving overall productivity improvements.

You Will:

Identify opportunities for redesign and maintenance of products to improve performance, align with revised standards, reduce costs, and simplify configuration.

Manage and prioritize Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Product Improvement processes, including engineering and production validations.

Review and assess Product Improvement requests, prioritizing them based on safety, performance, and urgency.

Oversee updates and impacts to BOMs, drawings, operations, and marketing materials.

Organize and maintain both electronic and hard copy filing structures for project records.

Ensure BOM and Parts Master accurately reflect the latest validated and released designs.

Maintain Sustaining Engineering and Design Standards & Processes and monitor project timelines.

Drive department success through established metrics and KPIs.

You Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing or Sustaining Engineering.

Proficiency with Inventor or SolidWorks.

Authorization to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
