Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sustainability Design Engineer to lead the development and implementation of sustainable design practices for our refrigeration products. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining environmentally-friendly refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop sustainable refrigeration systems with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental impact.Conduct life cycle assessments and sustainability evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production teams, and quality assurance, to integrate sustainable practices into product designs.Perform calculations and simulations to validate the performance and efficiency of refrigeration systems.Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED).Stay updated with the latest advancements in sustainable design and refrigeration technology.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.Provide technical support and training to production staff on sustainable design practices and equipment.Participate in project meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress.Develop and implement sustainability metrics to measure the impact of design improvements.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on sustainable refrigeration systems.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, systems, and sustainability practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, sustainable work.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
